Wick trimming is an essential practice in the proper care of your candle.
 A short wick allows the candle to burn slowly and efficiently.  Wick trimming will also allow your candle to burn cleaner by aiding in the reduction of soot and smoke that may occur when a charred wick is left too long. This easy practice will  prolong the life of your candle and provide you with hours of abundant enjoyment. 
It is always recommended that wicks are trimmed to 1/4" length prior to lighting.
